Realizing I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't even notice that everyone that was at the table left," I wasn't expecting them to be here," Caiden said honestly.

"Are you in some type of gang?"

"Hell no. I wouldn't get caught up in that shit," he said before snapping his fingers at a guy walking past the table. Tell that Jack guy I want a couple more drinks," Caiden threw two twenties at him and I shook my head.

"He's probably going to keep those you know," I told him.

"He won't even make it down the street alive." Sighing, I leaned back and jumped a little when I noticed Caiden's arm was behind me on the booth.

He needed to move that.

I didn't mind.

No one asked you.

I am you, so you didn't need to ask.

Sighing, I leaned back again, this time into his arm. "So what made you break up with him?" I looked up at the ceiling before closing my eyes, not responding at first.

"It was just something that had to happen," I told him not exactly lying.

"Have you ever had a girlfriend?" I asked and he snorted.

"I don't date. Girls don't deserve my time." I let out a laugh shaking my head. "Why am I with you right now then? And don't say because you want to get laid. If that was the case then you would have tried hitting on me more than once tonight."

"Something about you has me intrigued, baby doll," he said and I snorted. If only he knew that I contemplated putting a spider on his bed at one point. Our drinks were set in front of us and I mumbled a thank you to the man.

"That's interesting due to the fact that I'm a boring ass person."

"And I'm a fun ass person but that's beside the point," he said with a smirk.

He had the ass part right.

"You want to dance after everything that just happened."

"I just said that. C'mon I like this song." I shook my head a small smile appearing on my face and slid out standing up.

"You are definitely a strange one."

You're a strange one, Mr. Grinch.

Those weren't the right lyrics.

Shut up. I make my own lyrics.

"Only because I like this song," I said as we made our way over to the dance floor. The song Jealous by Nick Jonas was playing but I could hear it was coming to an end, the song switched over to an old song you know the one talking about apples bottom jeans. I couldn't think of the name.

It was almost strange dancing with the one who I should hate for everything he's done to me, yet for some reason I don't. Of course we weren't ballroom dancing or anything special like that since we're in a club with upbeat music, but at the same time it wasn't something anyone would expect. I mean me, Claire Martez dancing with Caiden Anderson. The part that would surprise people the most is finding out that I got this man to show emotion other than hate.
