During Christmas Eve, Lisa had returned to the hospital in the middle of the night and worked a full shift on Christmas. She hadn't even had the chance to truly spend the holiday with her grandparents.

Early in the morning on Boxing Day, she freshened up and headed to her grandparents' house. The moment she stepped through the gate, she could hear laughter inside. She didn't need to ask—she already knew her aunts and various other relatives had gathered.

Lisa suddenly felt apprehensive. What was she afraid of? The inevitable questions about when she'd get married. These relatives seemed to have nothing else to talk about with her.

She was just about to slip away unnoticed when Martha, sharp-eyed and keen-eared, caught her. "Why are you standing there skulking around instead of coming in? We have guests! Come in and greet everyone, and help out."

Now there was no escape. What could she do? She had to brace herself and go in. "When you go in, be sure to greet everyone and wish them well," Martha instructed her as if she were a child.

Lisa playfully responded, "Will they give me Christmas gifts?"

Martha swatted at her. "Is that all you ever think about? How much money did Logan give you on Christmas Eve? Don't you dare keep it! Give it back to him. He needs to save up to get married. How is it fair that he gives you all his money?"

"Is he your secret child or something? Why are you always taking his side?" Lisa finally protested.

But the next second, she was met with Martha's wrath. Fortunately, she ran fast, and with guests in the house, she managed to avoid further punishment.

Lisa greeted each aunt and every relative with a sweet smile. While they didn't have gifts for her, they had plenty of compliments. Everyone commented on how much more beautiful she had become. They also shared stories of relatives seeking her medical expertise, praising her exceptional skills as a doctor.

She appreciated the compliments but still felt a bit embarrassed by the attention.

Before she could even try to be modest, the inevitable questions about her personal life began.
