Lisa responded cheerfully, "Got it!"

She washed her hands and sat down. Picking up the utensils Logan had prepared, she dug into the gnocchi for breakfast.

"Uncle Logan, why aren't you eating?" Lisa asked after devouring two pieces of gnocchi.

"I'm not hungry."

These three words made it clear he hadn't eaten.

"There's so much, I won't be able to finish it all by myself. You should eat some too." Lisa naturally picked up a gnocchi and held it up to Logan's mouth.

Her action caught him off guard, and Logan froze for a moment. Seeing his reaction, Lisa realized her gesture might have been a bit inappropriate. Just as she was about to withdraw her hand, Logan opened his mouth and ate the gnocchi she offered.

Her face turned bright red. She quickly retracted her hand, lowering her head to focus on eating her gnocchi.

Logan chewed slowly, a faint smile forming at the corners of his mouth as he watched her shy and flustered expression.

This was the best gnocchi he had ever tasted.

To ease her embarrassment, he started eating along with her. Although he didn't eat much, the two of them managed to finish all the gnocchi and potato soup he had brought.

"Are you going back to rest later?" he asked her.

"I'm on duty today, so I won't be going back. If I get tired at noon, I'll just take a short nap," Lisa explained.

Logan noticed the fatigue on her face. "Have you considered changing jobs?"

She looked puzzled. "Huh?"

"Maybe something with regular daytime hours," he suggested tentatively. "A job in the administrative department, perhaps?"
