Lisa discreetly rolled her eyes. It sounded like that man went through women the way a chef goes through knives. Wasn't he afraid that he'd die from over-exhausting himself?

Logan did not reply. Instead, he changed his posture, tightened his core, and took another shot. Then, a rapid series of thunks sounded as the balls collided. They sounded quite pleasing to the ear indeed.

"Hey Wilson, what's a good date to get married this year?" Logan changed the topic.

"Are you getting married this year?" Wilson, the man Lisa heard speaking in a cheerful voice earlier, asked in surprise.

Another person chimed in, "Yeah, I thought you weren't acknowledged yet. Isn't it a little too early to be thinking about this?"

"There are several dates you can choose from. But I think the best time to have a wedding this year is in October."

That must have been an answer from Wilson.

Logan hummed in response.

Someone was quick to say, "Alright, we got the message. We'll have your wedding gifts prepared."

"You'd better," Logan responded with amusement.

Lisa, who was still eavesdropping outside the door, felt her heart racing. She blushed.

So he was serious about them being together. They hadn't even made their relationship public yet, and he was already planning their wedding date. There wasn't a single ounce of hesitation in his decision to marry her. Meanwhile, here she was, still sneaking around like a thief.

"No, this won't do, Lisa. You need to be upfront about this. You can't let him go through the agony of keeping your relationship a secret," she thought.

Had the roles been reversed, she'd have been devastated.

Lisa was so lost in thought that she didn't notice someone pulling the door open. Both of them were startled, especially the guy inside who immediately started yelling, "Who are you? You scared the daylights out of me!"

Her ears burned as Logan whispered, "You just happened to pass by."

His teasing left her feeling more embarrassed than ever. Poking him in the side, she huffed, "I'm leaving."

Logan quickly wrapped his arms around her waist. "You're already here. Where else are you going?"

"I don't want to interrupt your conversation. I… I was just worried about you. I wasn't stalking or spying on you. Don't get the wrong idea," Lisa explained.

Resting both hands on the pool table, Logan caged her between his arms. His eyes locked onto hers, glinting with something that made her pulse skip. "Well, I'm really curious how'd you so accurately know that I'd be here?"
