Hailynn was finally released from the hospital. I brought a set of clothes for her to change when I came to pick her up.

When we had that conversation the other day, I realized we never thoroughly clarified a lot of things. We didn't know what we were in each other's hearts. We were both insecure and I think that talk had brought light to our relationship. Hailynn knows my feelings for her and I know for now that she doesn't still feel the same way but I could see that she's in the process.

I could confidently say she's falling. She's walking on a path that she knows that it will bring her to me. To my heart.

And for some reason, I don't know why the woman in question has been scowling all day when I thought we've already made up. Did I meet a woman again yesterday that I'm not aware of?

I peered at the beauty sitting on the passenger seat of my car. "Are you okay?" I've been wanting to ask her that. I didn't want to irk her and let her be but I can't seem to stop worrying.

"Stop the car." She demanded suddenly, ignoring my concern for her.

I frowned. "What?"

"Stop the car, Dante, or I'll jump."

"Amore, what's wrong? Please tell me. You know I can't just stop."

"I'll jump then." She starts to unlock the car and I panic.

I mutter a curse as I slow down and park the car at the side of the road. Hailynn immediately gets out of the car, slamming the door shut. I followed her frantically, hurriedly walking around the car to meet her at the side of the road.

"Are you insane?!" I exclaimed. "Do you want me to become a widower this early? God, we still haven't even married yet. Let me marry you- no, fucking hell, you're not ever gonna leave me. You hear that, you crazy woman." My hand brushed my hair in frustration. The other resting on my hip while I try to settle my heart that was beating erratically.

This woman will be the death of me. That or the heart attack that's about to happen.

I was suddenly pulled out from my endless rambling when a huge slap landed on my face. The long silence followed. My eyes swiftly shifted towards her in disbelief.

What the fuck. I mouthed.

She shakes her hands in relief... weirdly. I was dumbfounded at the recent events that's happened one after another. I thought for sure she and I are good.

"Sorry- wait. I'm not sorry." She was pacing back and forth in front of me, hands waving in the air like her crazy messy hair. My hand was still pressed against my face, soothing the pain. My eyes wide still in disbelief as I stare at her precarious form.

"It's just... I don't know there's just this gnawing feeling. I needed to slap you." She stops and looks at me. "Can I slap you again?"

Without my consent, she raises her other hand and slaps the other side of my face. She exhales in relief.

"I think I'm satisfied now." I stood still in the same utter disbelief and shock.

"Are you kidding me?" I spoke finally. "What the hell, Hailynn? Have you lost your mind?"

Hailynn, for the first time, pouts. Her eyebrows creasing and arms crossing like a brat. "Oh, wow, so it's okay if you're the one seducing me."

I raised a brow in amusement. "I don't have a problem if you're going to seduce me every second of the day, amore. The problem is we're outside and a lot of people can see us. If you want to be fucked, there's a huge bedroom in our house. I could fuck you there, every damn corner of it."

"What are we doing here then? Let's go." Her eyes peered me with temptation and seduction. Her lips like a rose painted, lifted upwards with meaning.

I groaned inwardly. I am simply lost for words for this woman.

Hailynn sauntered towards the car and opened the door to get inside. Of course, I trailed behind like a fool I am, feeling giddy at the thought of being inside her again. And again.

The car screeched in halt and parked randomly at the front of our house. I moved to open the door in haste and disorderly manner. I hurried towards Hailynn's side and opened her door for her.

The huge grin on my face was immediately wiped when I saw her pale face. "Are you okay?" I crouched as I took her hand in mine.

"Ye- no. I'm feeling sick. I think I'm gonna puke." I eyed her in alarm. "Can you take me to the bathroom? I don't think I want to paint your porch with my vomit." A small smile painted her lips. She still managed to joke in a time like this.

"Oh, amore. Your vomit will be the red carpet in front of our house." My remark somehow distracted her and made her laugh. I felt relieved to know that my dumb joke made her feel a little better. A hint of color was finally back in her face and that prompted me to scoop her in my arms and bring her to our bedroom.

I guess no lovemaking time then. I sighed heavily.
