Chapter overview: Chapter 960 from Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess

In this standout chapter of the Romance novel Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess, Dana E. introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.

Josefina felt a bit jittery about whether Alex would be on board, so she pulled Oliver along with her into the room. “I’m going to check on Calix,” she mentioned as they moved inside. Oliver stayed close, leaving the lively crowd behind.

Josefina waved at Calix and his buddies. “Calix, thank you all so much for being here,” she said warmly.

Calix flashed a fond smile. “Hey, no need to thank me, sis. They’re my friends; of course, they’d show up to support you.”

Josefina’s face lit up with gratitude. “You guys are too kind. We heard he found his long-lost sister, and we had to celebrate. Let’s all get together for a meal when you have time; consider it a little welcome party.”

Calix shot a teasing glance at Zander. “She’s my sister, not yours. Why are you so hyped?”

“We’re like brothers, right? Your sister’s like my sister too. Who wouldn't want more folks to care for her?” Zander replied with a grin.

Calix nodded toward Dorian, who’d just entered. “Before you start claiming her, you might want to check with Dorian.”

Zander’s bravado fizzled out instantly. Dorian’s icy demeanor was enough to unnerve anyone. Though Zander and Calix had been tight since grade school, especially in the entertainment world, Dorian was a different breed altogether.

Zander vividly recalled the time Calix had accidentally broken one of Dorian’s cherished orchids. They’d tried to cover it up by burying it in the garden, but Dorian noticed right away. Zander had watched in horror as Dorian brandished a stick and gave Calix a good scolding.

Since that day, Dorian had been imprinted in Zander’s mind as the ultimate cold-hearted villain.

Josefina took the soda and made her rounds, toasting everyone. Oliver tagged along, drink in hand, clinking glasses at each table.

Mandy’s eyes twinkled as she watched them, clearly enjoying the scene. “Don’t they look like they’re toasting guests at their wedding?” she mused. “But it kinda seems like Josie is the one marrying Oliver.”

The Harrison family members exchanged knowing looks. Ayala nudged Mandy gently, reminding her they could all hear. Mandy blushed and suddenly found her food very interesting.

Ayala smiled, trying to smooth things over. “Oh, Mandy just thinks Josie and Oliver make such a perfect pair. They do look like a golden couple.”

Meanwhile, Hattie felt a mix of emotions. She was happy about Oliver and Josefina being together, but the thought of them marrying soon tugged at her heart. Would she still get to see her daughter every day if that happened?
