The designs by Alex and his crew really shook things up. Next spring’s collection was flying off the shelves. Josefina showed up at the office with some fantastic news. This month’s bonus? Five times the usual, plus a nice bump in everyone’s paycheck. The news spread like wildfire, and you could see the joy on everyone’s faces.

Alex and Kale were in Josefina’s office, laying a stack of papers in front of her. After going through them, she praised their stellar work. Alex chimed in, “Ms. Josefina, Bobby’s designs were also a hit. Should we think about wrapping up her internship early?”

“Let’s keep her as an intern for now. We’ll revisit it after a month,” Josefina decided.

“Got it,” Alex nodded.

As Josefina headed out, Bobby stepped into Alex’s office. “You wanted to see me, Director?”

Alex said, “Bobby, your talent is undeniable. But, our policy requires a one-month internship before we can talk about making it permanent.”

Bobby’s face showed a flicker of surprise, but she quickly regained her composure. “Alright, I’ll go with the company’s plan.”

She left Alex’s office, her head down, as if guarding her emotions from the world.

Josefina arrived at Luke’s place with a bunch of delivery guys, setting up a cozy afternoon tea. She sat across from Namshan and offered him a fizzy drink. “Namshan, how’s it going here with Luke?”

Namshan looked at the soda, feeling a bit down. “Master, can I stay with you? I don’t want to be here.”

Josefina replied gently, “Namshan, things are different here than back home. I’ve got school and other commitments, so I can’t always be with you. But your master will be here soon, and you can head back together.”

Luke took a sip of his soda before answering, “Boss, he’s been fine, except he keeps asking about you. If it weren’t for his cognitive issues, I’d think he had a crush on you.”

Josefina just sighed. “Keep an eye on him until my mentor arrives. It’s a big help, thanks.”

“Boss, no worries at all. Yesterday, some folks came looking for bodyguards, and Namshan was sparring. They almost took him with them, impressed by his skills. His strength is something they could learn from.”

Hearing this, Josefina felt relieved. It seemed right for Namshan to stick around for a few more days.
