"You're pregnant." She tells me, sounding almost pitiful. "It was on the scan. From the size I'd say roughly three months." She tells me shrugging.
"That's not right. I lost my virginity like two weeks ago." I snap at her. Might as well act stupid.
"Well I never planned to major in obstetrics and gynecology, but that baby is not two weeks. It wouldn't even be noticeable." I'm still taken aback from how strong her voice is. There's a twinge of threat on the edge of her words.
"So what? Since it was my werewolf husband who impregnated me I'm gonna pop this baby out in super speedy time?" She looks at me weirdly when I say husband but eventually just shrugs and sighs .
"Maybe. I didn't spend years in med school to study the fetus of a human and werewolf." I don't know why but I can't help but laugh at this. When I start laughing, Kayla starts laughing, and soon were both giggling over the stupid little words she said.
"I won't tell them you pregnant, you know, at least not on purpose." My laughter dies away as she brings back the seriousness of the situation. "But I want your help. I want your word that if you get out of here you take me with you. I don't just have years of college waiting for me to return to. I had a fiancé and a dog." I nod and give her smile which she returns. We both quickly remove them though when we hear commotion down the hall.
"What's taking so long in here ladies?" Luca asks semi-mad as he whips the door open. At the look of our frozen expressions he chuckles evilly as Micah jogs up behind him. "Oh come on girlies, secrets secrets are no fun unless they're shared with everyone."
I waited patiently, trying not to imagine the worst possible situation.
I was lying on a metal table, in just my hospital gown. My wrists were restrained along with my ankles. I had been tied down about a half hour ago before Micah left on Luca's orders and hadn't returned since.
"Now the reason we haven't easily turned a human in another way yet, is because this process is done kind of quickly. In under an hour, roughly. Which is why we can't take out a little bit of blood and filter it, only to put it back and take out more. It would take to long and your own blood would thin it down faster than we'd be able to multiply it." He tells me everything as though it's quite simple. "So we're gonna try a totally different method. Something that really has no proof that it could work at all, but why not? After all we got nothing to lose now. So we're gonna put our blood in you. Our blood, which will easily dominate yours, being that it's stronger than the filtered kind that usually turns you. We'll see if it will give you the traits we have, if not all but some." As much as his words make me curious I don't as any questions.
Point is, they're gonna put something foreign in my body, and most likely, my body won't like it one bit.
I studied the crack in the concrete on the floor that I currently lay on. It was the only crack in the slab of the concrete that made up the floor of my cell. What had currently been a smooth, new piece of rock was ruined. Kind of like me.
The torture they had been putting me through was all for nothing. Nothing had changed. Nothing was different. Yet they still pumped my body full of their tainted blood that seemed to kill me a little more each day.
