Sterling and the others stared in disbelief.

What?

Nina jumped from the building?

Everyone rushed out, the sound of sirens and ambulances already filling the air. On the ground lay a pool of blood, a white sheet covering a frail body, with only a patch of worn-out gray clothing visible.

Nina's mother covered her mouth, tears streaming down her face. "This... this is the outfit Nina wore when she came home!!"

Sterling couldn't believe it. He rushed past the police line, shouting at them to uncover the body so he could see for himself.

"Who are you?"

"I'm her husband!! I'm her lover!!"

Those words left Luna, who had followed Sterling out, pale-faced. She bit her lip and stepped forward to comfort him, but before she could speak, a video suddenly appeared on the large screen in the plaza. The video began with me sitting at home, eating noodles, and speaking.

"Mom, Dad, for all these years, you've always disliked the competition between me and Luna. Now, I'm returning you to her. Blood is needed to repay grace, and I'll return you to her."

"Sterling, marrying you is the biggest regret of my life. You make me feel disgusted."

The video then cut to footage of Luna and Sterling, showing their conversation clearly.

Finally, it played a recording of Sterling instructing the doctor to remove my uterus, along with the truth of my child's death, and how Sterling had forced me to raise Luna's child.

Sterling trembled, his face drained of color.

So Nina had known everything all along.

He had thought Nina was drowning in the pain of losing her child, that she would be too sad and helpless to care about these things. But instead, she had chosen to protect her child, even at the cost of her own life, waking up early to expose everything.

He thought he had hidden everything well. He had been so self-righteous, believing there would be a better future for him and Nina.

What must Nina have felt, waking up early in the operating room and hearing the conversation with the doctor? How hopeless must she have been?

Sterling couldn't bear to think any further.

His mind exploded in a blank void. At this moment, everything slipped away from him, leaving only Nina's image in his mind, along with that child...

"You waffled between Luna and Nina back then, too cowardly to make a choice, and now my sister's paying the price for your evil decisions! You bastard, I'll kill you!"

His fists rained down on Sterling's face like a waterfall.

Sterling stood motionless, letting the blows land.

The Blackwood family rushed forward, pulling Ethan away, shielding Sterling behind them.

Victoria spoke in a low, commanding voice: "There's clearly been some misunderstanding here. We'll have professionals authenticate these videos and give the public a proper explanation. My son and Luna are close, but there has never been anything inappropriate between them! The identity of the father of her child is unknown, and our two families have been friends for generations. Nina's grief over losing her child made us want to help her sister."

"We've already discussed this matter with the Clarkson family. Our decision to keep this private was to prevent the child from feeling self-conscious about their background and avoid gossip. We hope everyone will approach this rationally and refrain from spreading rumors."

Her words carried a subtle hint of threat. The onlookers, just here for the drama, didn't want to get involved, so they started backing off.

However, the Clarkson family was not willing to let her spin the narrative. They shouted in anger:

"Bullshit! You killed our daughter, and now you're trying to twist the facts? That video wasn't doctored!"

"Your son was married to Nina, but he still cheated with Luna! He killed his wife and child for her! That's sociopathic behavior, and he must be arrested and convicted!""
