Standing in the empty office, Charles felt more anxious. He reached out to hold his chest. His mind was in turmoil as if something bad would happen.

He turned around and prepared to leave. Noticing that there seemed to be light in the corner, he felt his heart skip a beat. He quickly walked over. Unfortunately, he did not see Helen. There was only a little girl, busy with something on her desk. She did not even have the time to look up.

Charles lightly tapped the desk, and then that girl subconsciously looked up and said, "Uh... whom are you looking for?"

"Is Manager Helen White here?"

"Ah... Oh, Manager Helen White, she left very early today, at around three or four o'clock! What do you want?"

"I'm her husband. Did she come back after she went out today?" Charles hurriedly asked.

"This... I don't know. I'm new here and have a lot to do. I didn't notice it." The little girl scratched her head and said embarrassedly.

"I didn't expect Manager White's husband to be so handsome!" Alice exclaimed inwardly, a little dumbfounded.

"Well, I see. Thank you very much."

"Oh, no problem."

Charles went downstairs, his brows furrowed. Helen had left the company so early and hadn't returned yet. She didn't look for Charles, nor did she go home. Where did she go?

Charles went home in a daze. He didn't have the mood to eat, so he sat on the sofa, bemused.

Until midnight, Helen still did not return home. Charles was seriously thinking about whether he had made her angry or not. However, they had been getting along very well recently, as if they were enjoying an extended honeymoon period. Besides, Charles felt sorry for Helen, so he would fall in with her wishes as much as possible.

They never had any quarrels since they had made up.

Moreover, when they went to work together this morning, Helen was very happy. There was no sign that she would suddenly disappear.

Was she missing?

That question suddenly flashed through Charles' mind. Could something bad have happened to her? It was not that she didn't want to come back, but she was stopped by someone.

Charles suddenly stood up from the sofa and remembered his worries today. He had an unshakable premonition that something must have been wrong with Helen.

After walking around the living room a few times, he suddenly remembered a person. He immediately took out his phone and called the person who was watching Julia, asking if there was anything unusual about Julia.

She could tell at a glance that Charles was not an ordinary person, and he seemed to be in a very bad mood. He even asked to see the manager as soon as he came in. It meant that he was here either to cause trouble or to deal with some emergency.

However, no matter what his purpose was, she couldn't afford to offend him. So, she hurried to look for the manager.

The manager recognized Charles as soon as he saw him. As the manager of such a high-end clubhouse, he knew well about all the big shots in Casterworth.

As soon as he stepped forward, he said, "Mr. Martin, I am the manager of this club. My name is Brian Calvin. Is there something urgent, Mr. Martin?"

Brian was neither humble nor arrogant. He was quite smart in dealing with various people.

"Where is Carl, the chairman of the Ocean Shipping Company?" Charles' voice was cold as if there was going to be a storm.

Brian was shocked as he realized there was something big going on. However, he wasn't allowed to disclose the guests' privacy.

When he was just about to speak, Brian looked up and found Charles staring at him coldly like a giant beast that would devour people. His legs suddenly became so weak that he almost fell. He took a step back and hesitated for a while. Noticing that Charles was going berserk, he finally told him.

"He is in Room 208 on the second floor." After finishing his words, Brian heaved a sigh of relief as if his life was saved.
