Noelle suddenly grew nervous. She remembered that Cedric's grandmother was seriously ill and had gone abroad for treatment. There had been no news about her since.

Cedric held her hand and gave her a reassuring look. "I understand. We'll head out now. Please rest well."

"Alright, go on. I'll be fine on my own. No need to worry about me. Go out on more dates and have fun." Emma was happy with how things had turned out.

Now that the lawsuit was over and Ruth had paid the price, Noelle and Cedric could finally put aside their past and be together.

Noelle and Cedric left the hospital together. Now that Emma's situation was resolved, Noelle could finally relax.

Cedric and Noelle were walking with their hand entwined when Noelle turned to him. "Aren't you going back to the office this afternoon?"

Cedric hummed. "Yes. But let's have lunch first."

Noelle didn't refuse, and the two headed to the nearest restaurant, L Bistro.

Once they entered a private room, Noelle said, "I haven't done it in so long, I don't even know if I still..."

Before she could finish, Cedric pressed her against the door and kissed her. Noelle was pinned down and couldn't move an inch.

One of Cedric's hands gripped her waist while the other cradled the back of her head. His kiss was forceful and filled with urgency.

Noelle missed him, too. She stood on tiptoe, wrapped her arms around his neck, and returned the kiss.

Cedric's breathing grew heavier when Noelle returned the kiss. He picked her up and set her down on the table.
