Noelle replied to the message, "Not yet. Are you home now?"

"Yeah, I've just arrived. Do you want to video chat?" asked Cedric.

After glancing at the message, she called him right away.

When the call connected, she noticed he was in his robes, and his hair was still wet. It was obvious to her that he had just finished showering.

With his hair all over his forehead, he looked straight into the camera with a bright gaze. Then, he said calmly, "I've missed you."

Noelle sat on her bed and asked, "How was work today?"

"It was alright." After saying that, Cedric added with a raised eyebrow, "Don't you miss me, too?"

She pursed her lips, feeling slightly embarrassed. "I do."

When he heard that, he finally smirked in satisfaction. Then, he lazily leaned against the headboard and looked into his phone with an empty gaze. "Are you with the Liddells now?"

"Yeah, Carl has left."

"Well, it looks like Mia is fine now."

She nodded with a smile. "That's right."

"About the investigation, we still haven't found any clues about the culprit. It seems like they have prepared well for this. Since the weather that day was fine, it became harder to track them down after they left the scene."

"I know, but I've already found out who did it." Noelle hesitated for a moment before continuing, "But the way I found out might sound a little unbelievable."

"Well, let's hear it. How weird can it be?"

She looked at him once more before saying, "I had a dream. A long dream."
