When she heard that, she was surprised, wondering when he had become so nice. Then, Frank approached them and said, "You deserve it, so take it."

"How's your friend now?" asked Carl as he joined the group.

"She's doing better." When Noelle talked about Mia, she was smiling happily.

After they finished their meal, Carl asked her, "Before I leave, can we have a chat?"

"Sure," she agreed and went to the room upstairs with him. Since it was winter, the outside was cold. However, the rooms were warm.

"I heard you told Donovan to watch out for PZ Group's investment scam. I'm glad you're still willing to warn us."

"I just didn't want Mom and Dad's belongings to be taken away," she answered nonchalantly.

"So, how did you know that PZ Group was a scam?"

She turned to him and said, "I never said they were scammers."
