Noelle hadn't expected Cedric to propose out of the blue, and it completely caught her off guard.

She looked at Cedric in front of her, then at the ring in his hand. It was an undeniably beautiful ring that looked very expensive as well.

Noelle raised an eyebrow at the ring and asked, "So, is this how you propose? That's it? Doesn't look romantic at all."

"I was planning to do it during the New Year's dinner. The arrangements were in place, but there was a change in plans. I didn't have time to come up with something new, but I thought this would be the perfect moment to show you how serious I am."

Cedric held out the ring again. "Will you think about it?"

"Alright, I'll think about it."

Noelle tried to get up and dodge him, but Cedric caught her hand and slipped the ring onto her finger before she could react. Then, he grinned. "You can think about it while wearing it."

"I haven't said yes, and you've already put it on. Aren't you rushing things?"

"It's just so you won't escape. I'm not in a hurry to get your answer, so take your time.

"Go wash up," he said, getting up and urging in a soft voice. After stepping into the bathroom, Noelle looked down at the sparkling, stunning ring on her hand.

She couldn't help the small smile tugging at her lips. Right now, her life felt truly happy.

When Noelle came downstairs after freshening up, she noticed Emma and Anastasia sitting together and deep in conversation. Lincoln spotted her and quickly announced, "Ms. Liddell is here."

Anastasia looked up and eagerly said, "Come here, Noelle."

When Noelle walked over, Anastasia shoved a heavy booklet into her hands. The whole scene felt oddly familiar.

Emma chimed in, "Take a look, Nelly. See if there's anything you like."

Noelle flipped open the booklet and saw images of different villa interiors. "Are you thinking about remodeling one of your properties, Mrs. Greene?"

"No. These are all under my name. Pick one you like, and I'd like to give it to you as a New Year's gift."

"This is way too much, Mrs. Greene," Noelle said and quickly tried to hand the booklet back.
