Noelle heard Xenia sobbing. Just as she expected, this was going to be a good show.

In the living room, Xenia was on the floor, crying pitifully. However, her face was swollen beyond recognition from being slapped, making her act of misery far less effective. If anything, it was having the opposite effect.

Donovan's face was red with anger. "Xenia, since you're no longer part of the Liddell family, from now on, you have nothing to do with us."

Today's events had been utterly humiliating. If word got out that Xenia was still associated with the Liddells, it would only further tarnish their reputation and drag him down.

Xenia stared at Donovan in disbelief. She never expected him to actually kick her out. Her hatred grew, but she still broke down crying.

"Donovan, I never thought Justin would force himself on me! He used the Liddell family to threaten me into submission. I was afraid of making a scene and bringing shame to the family, so I had no choice but to give in to him."

"Xenia, do you really take everyone else for a fool?" Donovan glared at her.

Getting thrown out of the Cantrells' banquet had ruined his years of planning. He wanted nothing more than to strangle Xenia right now.

Xenia turned desperately to Wyatt and clung to his wheelchair. "Wyatt, I never intended to betray you! As an adopted daughter, I was always careful, afraid of making a mistake and being disliked…"

Before she could finish, Wyatt shoved her away. He saw red. "But Justin said you were his girlfriend!"

Wyatt wasn't stupid. He felt deceived and humiliated.

Xenia sobbed, "I wanted to break up with Justin long ago, but he wouldn't agree. He kept using the Liddell family to threaten me, so I didn't dare sever ties completely."
