Noelle hesitated for a moment. "If you're just trying to look for Xenia, I can give you the address of the Liddell residence."

She then finally left the campus after giving Justin the address of the villa.

There would definitely be a show to witness if Justin really went to look for Xenia. Unfortunately, Noelle could not be there to watch it.

Noelle headed to Maple Enterprise and discussed technological updates and product improvements with her colleagues. Meanwhile, Ryan complained, "Liddell Corporation made a commercial in the style of an artsy romance movie. Are they worried that the public isn't going to realize that it's plagiarism?"

Noelle took a look at the commercial as well. It was not finished yet, but Xenia's broken chin meant that she wouldn't be shooting the rest anytime soon.

She calmly explained, "Advertisements are just little tricks. In the end, the products will speak for themselves."

Ryan nodded and said nothing more. When Noelle headed to the restroom for a break, she overheard her colleagues discussing something outside.

"I thought that the Liddell Corporation would be exposed for plagiarism after what happened back then. But there's no news about that at all. It's as if nothing even happened!"

"You don't get it, do you? After all, the Liddell Corporation is related to Noelle. How could something bad actually happen to them?"

"But I heard that Noelle has already fallen out with her family, no?"

"But her partner's the de-facto prince of Yasnia! If Noelle wishes to rise up the ranks, she's gonna need a powerful background! This is clearly just her strategy to show Cedric how hardworking and ambitious she is!"

Upon hearing all that, Noelle finally understood why everyone seemed rather awkward during the meeting earlier.

Things indeed seemed rather strange from their perspectives. But she could not tell her coworkers that it was just a temporary measure and that the Liddell Corporation would soon be met with a significant crisis.

Noelle pretended not to hear anything and returned to her office to resume work.

After the workday was over, Ryan looked at her and said, "There'll be an academic exchange event happening at your campus tomorrow. You'll be giving a speech as the representative of the company since you are the tech lead and as a representative of the students at your university."

Noelle did not refuse, as it was the perfect opportunity to clear up the rumors. "Okay."

But when she looked at the guest list, she quickly spotted Cedric's name as well. She wondered if he would be attending the event tomorrow.
