Noelle did not want to talk about the matter. She turned and left the Liddell residence.

After she left, Donovan turned to Wyatt and said, "You'll be keeping an eye on Xenia. Make sure that she doesn't leave the house, or I'll throw you out along with her."

Wyatt felt a little humiliated. "What are you talking about, Donovan? I won't let Xenia wander off before everything is resolved.

"Don't worry. I may not be of much help in investigating the truth about Mom and Dad's death, but I definitely wouldn't be a burden to you."

"You'd better not be."

Donovan was about to storm out of the door when Frank ran up to him and whispered, "Should we send someone to follow after Noelle? I have a feeling that Mrs. Merlock's disappearance has something to do with them."

Now that Noelle had grown distant from the family, she was not willing to share any updates from her own investigation.

"Of course. We still know nothing as of now. We don't even know where Xenia's father is hiding," Donovan replied.

Frank explained, "I've asked Xenia about it. She said that her father was hiding out at a car dealership. We can start by investigating the car dealership she mentioned."

"That can wait. Right now, the most urgent matter at hand is to recover the money."

Frank looked at Donovan in disbelief and replied, "Donovan, what could be more important than finding out the truth behind Mom and Dad's deaths?"

Donovan was a little angry. "We'll have to come up with another way to solve the problem with the funds if we don't get the money back soon. Otherwise, the Liddell Corporation will be on the verge of bankruptcy!"

He was not about to just sit back and watch the company he built up from scratch go under. He softened his tone and continued, "It's not that I don't want to investigate our parents' deaths.

"Noelle's already on it, and with the Greene family's help, she'll definitely be able to catch Mr. Quigley. We wouldn't be much help even if we got involved."

Frank could not accept it. "I get that we can't do much, but we can't just do nothing."
