Cedric pursed his lips. "Mom, I will get to the bottom of this. And Mrs. Merlock won't be hurt. Her fate lies with the law."

"But I don't believe she did it on purpose." Emma wanted to argue. But when she saw the determination in Cedric's eyes, the words never left her mouth.

She stood up. "Three days. You have three days to release her. Otherwise, I'll go to Noelle myself and tell her everything."

Cedric frowned and watched her leave. He rubbed his temples. Just three days? That meant he had to move faster. Once they caught Xenia's father, everything else would fall into place.

He turned to his assistant. "Set up the trap at the casino. We need to draw him out."
