Justin walked over. "Stop staring. Get lost."

He was the same arrogant playboy, and the crowd hesitated before quickly dispersing. Justin turned to Noelle. "Did the Merlocks really cause your parents' deaths?"

Noelle nodded. "Yes."

Justin thought for a moment. "Then you've got some luck to still be alive."

Noelle gave him a weird smile. "If those who've done horrible things can live well, why shouldn't I still be alive?"

Justin choked. "Well, feel free to come to me if you ever need help with anything."

Noelle eyed him cautiously. What nonsense was he spewing?

Justin cleared his throat awkwardly. "Don't overthink it. I'm just offering a hand, that's all. Of course, if you feel like thanking me, you could treat me to a meal."

Noelle clicked her tongue. "I don't want to accept your help. Your mom might show up at my door tomorrow."

Justin was a well-known mama's boy. His expression darkened, and he blocked her path.

"What's that supposed to mean? You should be grateful that I came to help you. Do you really think the Greene family will still support you?"

Noelle's expression shifted. She stared at him. "Whatever happens to me has nothing to do with you."

"You should feel lucky I even have my eyes on you. How could you possibly go up against the Merlocks without the Greenes' backing you?" Justin glared at her.

"The Merlocks and the Greenes are in bed together now. Of course, they'll help each other. You can't win."

Noelle snapped, "Get out of my way."
