Noelle looked at Frank. "What did you just say?"

Cedric saved her?

"Didn't you say he was in the back seat? Given the situation, if Xenia's father wasn't the one who saved you, then the only other possibility would be him."

Frank stared at her. "Think about it. Everyone else involved back then has denied it. There's only one possibility left, right? And Cedric doesn't seem like he's on the Merlocks' side. It makes sense he'd be the one who saved you."

Noelle recalled a dream she had long ago. In her dream, Cedric was the one who saved her.

But she had dismissed it and thought she was just imagining things. Now that she thought about it, maybe it really was him.

Her mind had been a mess since she found out that Cedric had been lying to her a couple of days ago. And she never gave it any further thought.

But after hearing Frank's analysis, she was starting to calm down. Right, Cedric was indeed the most likely person to have saved her.

Frank cautiously asked, "Had Mr. Greene never said anything to you about it?"

Noelle shook her head. "Not a word."

He hadn't even mentioned it last night. Was it really him?

Frank hesitated. "That doesn't make sense. Since you already figured it out, there's no reason for him to keep hiding it."

Noelle lowered her gaze.

Frank switched topics. "You still can't remember exactly what happened back then?"

Noelle sighed. "No. Sometimes I dream about it, but the images are scattered, and I can't piece them together."

"Well, it's fine if you can't remember. At least the truth has come out now, so you don't have to worry." He softened his tone again. "Come on, stay for dinner. We made all your favorites."

"No need. She should stay under your watch until the case is over." Noelle left the villa and returned to her apartment alone.

At that moment, she thought it would probably be best to just buy her own car. When she stepped into her living room, she saw a meal laid out on the table and knew immediately it was from L Bistro.

She walked over and touched it. It was still warm. He timed it perfectly with her return. Had he been keeping tabs on her movements this whole time?

Noelle immediately turned around and changed the passcode.

She pulled out her phone and texted Cedric: "Did you have someone following me?"

He didn't reply. She gritted her teeth and typed again: "I've changed the passcode. Don't interfere with my life anymore."

Still, no response.

Noelle didn't wait around for a reply. She looked at the food, and hunger took over. She hadn't eaten much at all at the Liddell residence earlier.
