The group then walked into the detention center together. Xenia gently touched her pregnant belly and sneaked a glance at Cedric, only to find that his gaze fixated on Noelle the entire time.

She gritted her teeth in frustration. As far as she had known, the both of them were supposed to have broken up. She had deliberately told Noelle about Cedric being in the car as well as being one of the culprits responsible for her parent's death, all to keep the both of them apart.

And yet, Cedric had now willingly come to testify for Noelle. Judging by the look in his eyes, he had not yet let her go.

Xenia gritted her teeth in disbelief and anger. She wondered why that bitch Noelle was so lucky to be able to keep such a wealthy man obsessed with her.

Meanwhile, she had to go to great lengths with her schemes, only to be stuck with a useless man like Wyatt. She could not understand just how she was any worse than Noelle.

Sean was soon brought out upon them.

Noelle stared at him and said, "Are you seeing this yet? Cedric came here in person. He has agreed to testify in court. Now you don't have to worry anymore, right?"

Sean looked up at Cedric and replied, "I didn't think you'd go this far. Aren't you concerned about your stepmother? She was involved in this, too."

"That is none of your concern. My family has arranged for a lawyer," Cedric replied.

Sean looked a bit surprised and fell into silence, seemingly deep in thought.

Noelle stared at Sean and said, "Now that your condition has been met, what are you still hesitating for? Don't tell me you don't actually have any evidence?"

Sean coughed and replied, "Who says I don't? But how would I know if the Greene family won't go back on their word? What if you still treat Xenia badly after I hand over the evidence?"

Frank spoke up. "All of that can be written into a contract."

Sean nodded. "That's fine. Prepare the contract and bring it to me."

Noelle leaned on the table with both hands. "Are you trying to stall for time?"

"I'm not."

"Then why didn't you bring up the fact that you wanted a contract earlier?"

She stared straight at Sean's face and watched as his expression shifted.

Sean coughed again and replied, "I'm getting old, so my memory's not as good."
