Cedric observed the unfamiliar man standing before him, noting that his facial features somewhat resembled those of the Liddells. However, he had never met this particular individual before.

Cedric glanced at the other Liddell brothers present and inwardly guessed at the stranger's identity. This was most likely Carl, Noelle's third brother, who had always been away.

Since he didn't have a good impression of any of the Liddells, his expression remained neutral as he gave a slight nod of acknowledgment.

Noelle turned to look at Carl and said, "I'm leaving now. Just let me know directly when Sean's condition changes."

Carl nodded and replied, "Don't worry. With me here, there won't be any problems."

Noelle looked at Cedric and said, "Let's go."

She had more to say to him, but with so many people around, it wasn't the right time to speak. Cedric understood her intention and naturally followed her.

Then, the three of them entered the elevator together. Jeremy positioned himself directly between Cedric and Noelle. He looked at Noelle and said, "I'll personally go talk to the Hitchcock family about this matter."

Cedric chimed in, "It's useless for you to go talk to them."

Jeremy immediately became agitated and retorted, "Why would it be useless for me to talk to them? Although I'm not like certain people who were born with a silver spoon in their mouth, street smarts count for something, too—you'd be surprised what a regular guy can pull off when he's motivated."

Cedric turned to him and said, "Your methods are too slow. Right now, we need to get the Hitchcock family to stop their interference."

"How do you know my methods are slow?" Jeremy was quite displeased. He looked at Noelle and asked, "Who do you choose?"

Noelle's eyes widened in surprise, wondering why she suddenly had to choose between them. After all, these two were just talking to each other. So, how did it turn into her having to choose?

Noelle coughed lightly and said, "We should consider this matter further. If we confront them directly without evidence, it won't work, right?

"People like that are usually difficult to deal with, and ordinary threats don't work on them. Otherwise, Ruth wouldn't have chosen such a person as her son-in-law."

Jeremy snorted derisively. "Just look at his age—he's even older than Mrs. Merlock."
