“You’re such good fuck,” Kye grunted out before his lips touched mine like we were doing something that wasn’t so shameful. I’m nothing but a good fuck to him.

His hand lingered on my thigh as he drove us back to school. My skin burned from where he gripped it during the drive and during everything else. I wanted to scream at him, to claw off the stupid smirk on his face but instead, I just sat there. My heart was pounding so hard that I could swear that it was trying to burst out of my chest.

I just pray Liam is not too mad when I get back, maybe he’ll listen to my explanation. I thought wrong and I hated myself for not taking the two weeks opportunity.

I should have disappeared, should have vanished into silence and darkness, and not come back until the guilt that was eating through my skull like acid stopped. But I didn’t and now it was too late.

The minute Kye pulled over and I got out of the car, funding right there, outside the damn school doors like something out of my worst nightmare was my father and Liam.

I froze and my feet were glued to the pavement as the air in my throat thickened. My father’s arms were crossed over his chest and his jaw was set like he had been waiting for quite a while, looking beyond mad.

Liam on the other hand, was looking self righteous and smug as he stood beside him. He didn’t look at me like a brother… he looked at me like I was a case study in failure.

“Dad?” I called as I finally found the courage to move closer to him. “What are you doing here? I thought you left already.”

I didn’t know why I asked him, because I already knew that Liam had called him.

“Ava,” my father called, his voice sharp as he said, ignoring my question. “Skipping school now?”

I tried to lie, I tried to come up with something… anything but my brain was still stuck on the way Kye had kissed me like he owned my body, my breath and my fucking life. I hope I don’t smell like sex.

“And with the boy that you said was just a friend?”

He didn’t even yell, his voice was calm and that was worse. That was what made my hands tremble and my knees weaken. If he shouted, I would know how to respond. But the quiet? The disappointment?

Plus I couldn’t even deny it, because not only had he seen me with Kye, getting out of his car just now, Liam had also seen me the other day.
