“Unfortunately, just in time to see Edward leaving,” Adrian said.

My eyelashes drooped slightly: “You saw something embarrassing.”

Adrian raised his hand, gently brushing the snow from my hair: “What are you talking about? We’re good friends who grew up together, aren’t we?”

I nodded with tears in my eyes.

Then I asked: “Did you come here for something?”

“Mary asked me to come,” Adrian said.

After hearing this, I understood what Mary was trying to do. As Adrian was about to enter the house, I reached out and grabbed the corner of his clothes.

“Adrian, don’t mind what Mary said to you. She’s worried about me and wants to find someone to take care of me.”

“But I don’t need anyone to take care of me. I can take care of others now.”

Adrian patted my head, “What are you thinking? We’re good friends. Mary just asked me to come over for dinner.”

Adrian said impatiently: “Buying groceries with Aurora. We’re having dinner together tonight.”

“Didn’t you say Ferris is staying at her place?” Benjamin’s mouth could fit an egg. “You should have some morals. He’s still Aurora’s husband after all. Going there to be the third party isn’t moral…”

Adrian hung up directly.

Benjamin had spoken too quickly and immediately called back: “Sorry, my bad I have serious business.”

Only then did Adrian patiently listen to him continue.
