Debra nodded in understanding.

"Relax. I'm here for business," Debra muttered as she got out of the car.

With every step she took forward, the guards took one step back.

She glanced down at herself. "Do I look like some kind of monster?"

The guards exchanged uneasy glances. Everyone in Seamar City knew Debra was Marion's fiancée. And these guards had suffered plenty at Marion's hands.

Debra said, "Do me a favor and let Melody know I'm not here to cause trouble. I'm here to see someone."

"What do you want?"

"Somewhere quieter. This place isn't ideal."
