Solomon and I swiped a strange bottle of potion from him.

Back home, we debated how to use it. I figured we should drink it. Solomon thought it was too sketchy and might be just a scented oil.

No surprise, I won. Solomon had to go along.

We each took a swig. It tasted weird but not awful.

"Feel anything?" I asked.

"Nope. You?" he said.

"Nothing," I replied.

He shook his head. "Told you we should've used it as aromatherapy."

Then, sleepiness hit hard.

Before passing out, I muttered, "Damn it! Nobody said this was a sleeping pill."

My head hit the pillow, and I had a bizarre dream.

"That's Michael Austin. He was my mom's friend when he was alive," I exclaimed, pointing at the billboard.

I didn't expect him to be this famous.

"Are you nuts?" Solomon said. "He's dead, so..."

He trailed off, realizing this was 20 years ago. We weren't born yet.

This place and time felt alien, unlike 20 years later when we owned everything.

"What do you think? Could I see my younger mom? She was a total babe 20 years ago," I said, tugging his arm.

Solomon perked up, probably thinking he could see a younger, fiercer Marion or his own parents.
