"I dunno," Oliver replied, genuinely clueless.

He really didn't. Oliver didn't keep tabs on that kind of stuff.

"I mean, it's pretty obvious—Finley's totally into Shay. At the last party, he brought Shay along and the way he looked at her, it was so obvious. I could read it from a mile away."

Oliver shrugged. "If you hadn't pointed it out, I would've missed it completely."

Josie chuckled, "And I can tell Shay's not into Finley. She's eyeing someone else, maybe even you."

Oliver was left speechless.

"Josie, I swear, I'm not into Nichola. I've never even given her a second glance," Oliver rushed to clarify, worried Josie might misunderstand.

Shay used to go by Nichola when she had Sydney's surname. After Sydney married Rowan, she switched to Shay.

Josie trusted Oliver; he wasn't the playboy type.

She grinned and teased, "I'm not accusing you. Why so quick to defend yourself? Afraid I won't believe you?"

"Of course I'm scared. Everyone else can doubt me, but not you, Josie. I'd never lie to you."

"Who is Finley's girlfriend, anyway? I saw her tonight and she looked familiar," Josie mused, trying to place the face she saw earlier.

Oliver suggested, "Let's go see her. If she seemed familiar, maybe seeing her again will jog your memory."

"Okay, let's do it tomorrow night. I'll finish up work, and we can invite Finley out to dinner. My treat."

"You got it, whatever you say," Oliver doted on her.

"I'm gonna hit the hay, I'm exhausted," Josie yawned.

"Sure thing, goodnight Josie."
