Livia stood up, "Let me get you a glass of water. I spent ages rummaging through the house yesterday, flipping through old albums, and I even found some pictures of us together. Not just you, but Percy too—the one we met yesterday—and some of my old journals. Even though I can't remember everything, seeing familiar faces and things every day has to help jog my memory."

Josefina's mood brightened, hopeful that Livia would soon recall their past.

She knew the Livia she remembered was decisive and strong, never the type to be broken by heartache. Seeing Livia in her current state tugged at Josefina's heartstrings.

She took Livia by the hand and gently guided her back to sit down. "Livia, you look a little pale. Did you not get much sleep last night?"

Livia shook her head, "I cleaned the house from top to bottom last night and then spent time looking at old things. Didn't really sleep well."

Josefina had initially wanted to take Livia out for a stroll and catch up with old friends. But given the circumstances, it seemed best to let that idea go.

"Livia, I heard from Finley about the shooting. I'll need you to regain your memory and tell me what happened so I can track down the assailant."

With the auction crowd gone, Josefina was investigating the case, but clues were scarce. Some people kill without batting an eye and keep their lips sealed, making it a tough investigation.

"Josie, thank you."

"Don't mention it, we're practically family. Rest up, Livia. I brought you some food; make sure you eat before you sleep."

"Will do, thanks."

Josefina affectionately ruffled her hair, reminding her to eat and rest before leaving.

Surprised, she approached him, "What are you doing here?"

Oliver smiled fondly, "Came to find you, of course."
