“Sasa, you’re the best,” Scarlett finally stopped crying, her voice trembling with gratitude.

Sarah handed her a tissue to wipe her tears. “Uncle Larson has always been kind to me. I can’t just sit by and let something happen to him.”

---

Early the next morning, Sarah got up with an uneasy feeling, as if everything was destined to go wrong. She bumped her hand against the table, leaving a large bruise. Then, during breakfast, she choked on her toast. Sitting on the couch, waiting for Scarlett, her anxiety only grew stronger.

Their destination was Luther Estate, a luxurious neighborhood favored by the city’s wealthiest.

When they arrived at one of the larger properties, Scarlett got out of the car first, followed by Sarah. Scarlett knocked on the door, but the butler who answered blocked her from entering.

“Our young master doesn’t wish to see you,” he said curtly.

Sarah stepped forward. “Scarlett, you can head back now. I’ll handle this.”

Without hesitation, she followed the butler inside.

The interior of the Luther family villa was vastly different from Melvin’s refined and understated home. It was grand and overbearing, designed to flaunt wealth.

The butler led Sarah up to the second floor and into a bedroom. The room was pitch black, with heavy curtains blocking out any sunlight. In the center of the room was a large bed, and on it lay a man with his head completely covered by a blanket.

The butler bowed respectfully and announced, “Sir, she’s here.”

A muffled grunt came from under the blanket.

The butler quickly left, locking the door behind him. Now, Sarah was alone in the enormous room with the man on the bed.

Standing by the bed, Sarah kept her voice steady as she said, “Mr. Luther, could you come out?”

A low chuckle came from under the blanket. “Are you sure you want me to?”

“Mr. Luther, I can’t help you unless you let me see you,” Sarah replied calmly.

“Alright then.”

The blanket was suddenly thrown aside, revealing a man with a muscular, bare torso. He half-sat up, his intense gaze locked on Sarah.

---

Outside the villa, Scarlett stood by the gate, her unease growing with every passing second. She stared at her phone, unable to shake the feeling that something was wrong.

She quickly dialed Sarah’s number.

The call connected for a brief moment before being cut off.

She tried again. Then a third time.

“Ring… Ring…” But no one answered.

“What’s going on? Why isn’t she picking up?” Scarlett muttered anxiously.

Her chest tightened with fear. “Sarah, answer your phone!” she whispered desperately.

Sarah had gone in for her sake. If anything happened to her, Scarlett knew she would never forgive herself.
