Zachary replied coolly, "I'm from East Coast. My family wanted me to go into business, but I didn't like it, so I ran away."

"Bro, consider this your home! Come whenever you want - there's always a hot meal waiting." Charlie said enthusiastically, inwardly excited. This was perfect - if he treated Zachary well, Zachary would help him win money gambling.

Vivian strode into the Reynolds Corp building and pushed open Zachary's office door.

"Why aren't you answering my calls? Why won't you see me?" she demanded, only to find Steven sitting in Zachary's chair.

Her face shifted to a light smile. "Isn't this Mr. Miller, the famous chef from St. Ritz? What are you doing in Zachary's office?"

Steven spun lazily in the chair, twirling a pen between his fingers. "Miss Wilson, the boss isn't here. I'm handling company affairs for now."

"Where did he go? Does Mr. William know?"

Steven smiled. "I really don't know. When does the boss ever report his whereabouts to us? As for whether Mr. William Reynolds knows, why don't you ask him yourself?"

Vivian's smile vanished. "Steven, how could you not know his movements?"

"I honestly don't know." Steven placed his phone in front of Vivian. "See for yourself. The boss left me a message and disappeared. Calls go unanswered."

Vivian glanced at the message on the screen: "Company affairs are in your hands for now."

She didn't believe Steven didn't know Zachary's whereabouts, but she knew his lips would be hard to pry open.

When she remained silent, Steven said, "Anything else, Miss Wilson? If not, I'd like to get back to video chatting with my sweetheart."

His dismissive attitude gave Vivian no choice but to leave with a sour expression.

The man was forthcoming. "The project is five-sixths complete. Should be finished within a month."

"A month..." Vivian's eyes flashed.
