Mia explained somewhat bashfully, "Sarah, ever since you and my brother broke up, I've never seen him smile again. Every night when I go downstairs for water, I see him standing on the balcony looking miserable. I always ask what's wrong, but he never tells me. She paused before continuing, "Sarah, I know you were disappointed when my brother got engaged to Vivian. I still don't know why that happened. From what I can tell, you're the only one he's ever loved. I know you're both hurting, so I came up with this idea to create a chance for you to be alone together. But I never thought things would turn out like this. I'm sorry, Sarah. This isn't my brother's fault—please don't blame him."

Sarah thought for a moment before saying, "Mia, can you help me with something?"

Mia nodded eagerly. "What do you want me to do, Sarah?"

Sarah motioned her closer and whispered something in her ear. After listening, Mia nodded solemnly.

In the dead of night at the Reynolds house, Mia crept stealthily into the study.

She didn't dare turn on the main light, using only a small lamp instead. Under the dim yellow glow, she approached Zachary's desk and began searching.

Earlier at the hospital, Sarah had asked for her help finding any traces of their past in Zachary's office—things like photos or... anything else.

But after searching thoroughly, she found nothing but boring documents, materials, and books. There were no personal items at all.

She turned her attention to the safe at the bottom shelf. She had secretly watched the password before. Perhaps everything related to Sarah was important to her brother and might be kept in the safe.

Opening it, she found a manila envelope on top.

For some reason, she felt uneasy, as if something major was about to happen.

"Mia, what are you doing?" he asked softly.

After getting no response for a while, he realized Mia was staring at him with a tear-streaked face, holding a manila envelope.

Zachary instantly became alert. "Mia, what's that in your hand?"

Mia threw the envelope onto his bed and asked through her tears, "Why?"

He immediately recognized what was in the envelope. When he returned from West Ridge, he hadn't brought many things with him, but the evidence regarding the Wilson factory was one of the few items he'd brought home.

But he never imagined that Mia would be the first person to see these documents.
