On the giant screen overhead, Penelope’s eyes glistened, her voice catching in her throat as if she were forcing herself not to break down in tears. The sight tugged at the heartstrings of everyone watching.

As soon as she finished, a wave of commotion swept through the audience.

“Who’s Anastasia?”

“Isn’t she the junior everyone’s been talking about on the campus forum? People even said she should lose her ‘Miss Kingsbridge’ title over this…”
