“Something to do with my cousin,” Anastasia replied vaguely. “You know, I met with him just yesterday…”

She kept things vague, but she knew Harrison probably had already looked into everything. He was the kind of man who always wanted to know where she was, who she was with—if he cared enough to track her every move, there was no way he’d ignore the people and things around her.

As expected, Harrison didn’t press for details. He seemed to understand immediately, but the look in his eyes turned a little sour as he tipped his head and gazed down at her. “So you’ve been thinking about him these past two days? It’s just a minor issue. Next time, let Logan handle it. There’s no need for you to waste your energy.”

Anastasia shook her head. “It really isn’t worth troubling Logan…”

Before she could finish, Harrison reached out and gently lifted her chin, stopping her mid-sentence.

“Sweetheart?” Anastasia blinked up at him, her cheeks squished adorably between his fingers. She looked both puzzled and amused.

Harrison’s deep eyes locked onto hers. There was a fleeting silence before he spoke directly, no longer bothering with subtlety.

“Ana, I’m your husband. I should be the one who gets most of your attention.”
