When he’d reached the top floor and didn’t find Cameron, Bradley felt like his heart had almost stopped. He hurriedly took the elevator back down again, his heart pounding with fear.

The instant Bradley saw Cameron, his heart gave a violent jolt–only then did he feel like he had come back to life. She was completely

unharmed. She was really alright.

“Cam?” Bradley pulled Cameron even closer, as if only by holding her tighter could he be sure she was really there.

Cameron could feel how worried he was. She gently patted his back,.trying to soothe him. “Brad, I’m really okay,” she said softly.

Camilla chimed in from the side, “Brad, Cam’s fine.”

Only then did Bradley finally start to calm down.

Bradley finally let go of Cameron from his embrace, but he kept a firm grip on her hand.

Cameron let him hold her hand without resistance.

Camilla, still curious, asked, “Cam, what exactly happened? And who was the one who fell outside?”

Cameron gave them a brief rundown of what had happened.

Bradley was still shaken, a chill of fear lingering in his chest. He couldn’t help but squeeze Cameron’s fingers a little tighter, as if afraid to let

her go.

Cameron squeezed his hand back reassuringly letting him know she was really okay.

The police showed up in no time, and the hotel was quickly taped off.

They found Cameron right away. It was Cameron who had called the police.

Cameron explained, “The person who died was my adoptive parents‘ daughter. She’s hated me ever since we were kids, always holding a grudge because her parents went to jail for trafficking me. She even hired someone to run over my fiancé.
