Finally, Mia grabbed her husband—yes, the big-shot business tycoon—and practically dragged him over to the nurse’s station. “Nurse, can you check my husband’s blood pressure, please?”

Andre just sighed. Resistance was pointless. So there he was, this towering, imposing man, pinned to the chair by his petite wife, stuck there while the nurse checked his blood pressure and ran an EKG for good measure.

When it came to more tests, though, Andre put his foot down. “I’ll come back for the rest when the company does our annual checkup. We’ll do it together then,” he insisted.

Luckily, everything came back normal, so Mia finally breathed easy, clutching the results as they headed home.

Back at the house, Henry’s “new toy” had arrived.

Ash: “Aaaah~”

Mr. Calder grumbled, “Hopeless. Just hopeless. Not nearly as sweet as my little princess at home.”

Andre strolled over, smiling, arms out to pick up Ash.

Ash didn’t budge. So Mia went over and scooped up the little one herself. Thankfully, Mr. Calder was a pretty solid dad—Ash was bundled up nice and cozy.

Henry watched his mom cuddle another kid, frozen in place. The tears on his lashes had dried, and he still clutched the new toy his dad had bought to cheer him up after a rough trip to get his blood drawn.

“Henry, this is your little brother, Ash.”

Henry blinked, thinking it over. Then, he handed his toy to his dad and reached out to hug his brother.

Ash didn’t protest at all.

Mia called out, “Henry, don’t give that to your brothers—it’s medicine, it’ll give them tummy aches.”

Anya heard the news—their little brother was here.

“He’s here?”

Leo sat up in bed, rubbed his head. “Another one, huh?”

That afternoon, Leo drove Anya over to the Cedillo house, then headed off again.

“I’ll pick you up tonight, okay? Don’t even think about staying over. If I have to, I’ll come back and carry you home!”

He called this over his shoulder, making sure she heard him before heading off to his usual hangout spot.
