She knows what she wants and what she doesn’t want. She isn’t shy about making sure others know her opinion.

She said my first kiss was very vanilla and boring,he says, obviously embarrassed.

Well then, I hope you showed her exactly the kind of Alpha that you are,my father says.

I did,” Shane says, grinning..

Don’t let her run over you and I’m guessing she’s going to want to visit you more now that she’s decided you’re going to be partners. We have just over a year before the two of you will go to the Academy. I’ll let the two of you talk it through and you can decide how often you’d like to see each other. Our packs aren’t so far apart that it isn’t manageable for you to see each other a couple times a month if you want to.Dad tells him.

Let’s see how things progress here. I’m not sure adding Sebastiana into the mix right now while we have other important things going on is a good idea,I say.

Agreed. I wouldn’t want her getting hurt because of me,Shane says.

And I like my hair on my head. I’d hate to rip it out because my sister was here visiting you all the time. Plus, you have a pack to prepare to take over. Why don’t you and I talk about it. We’ll figure out a time for the two of you to get together again, if that’s what you both want, but not to the exclusion of preparing you to take over in two years.

Choles

I’d like that.

We head upstairs and my father gives me a questioning look when I pass my bedroom door.

I’m going to check on Enya,I tell him, stopping at her door while he goes down the hall to their room. I’m just about to knock when he calls me to his room.

I should have trusted my nose and followed her scent. I thought maybe it was lingering, but it’s good to know that she’s stayed this long talking to my mother and sister. Sebastiana planted the seed earlier tonight about Enya going to the Academy. I could see that my sister was making an impact where I have not.

When I step in, her eyes are a little glassy and when she stands and sways, I know she’s had more to drink than she’s used to. Actually, neither Shane nor Enya seem to drink at all. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just odd to me, given the way my parents have raised me and Sebastiana.

I am glad to see that it looks like she hasn’t been crying. If anything, it looks like she’s been enjoying herself.

I walk her to her room and wait for her to get ready for bed. I’ve gotten used to putting her to bed at night after she falls asleep in my arms and I’m a bit disappointed that I won’t get to hold her tonight. But maybe its for the best. I’m trying to maintain boundaries, and this is a good way for me to set those.

That all goes out the window when I lean over to kiss her forehead and she shifts, pressing her lips to mine. My body responds instantly, and she begins moving her lips against mine.

I gently pull away, trying to show her that I’m not rejecting her.
