Alice calmly set down the piece and let out a soft sigh.

“I thought you had improved over the past two years. But clearly, you’ve regressed.”

Humbert’s face went pale.

Alice rose to her feet, the disappointment in her eyes unmistakable.

“You used to pull off more intricate/plays, like the Delicate Weave. Compared to that, this strategy of yours was sloppy. Mr. Day, it seems like your skill hasn’t progressed over the past two years.”

Humbert was shocked. The spark in his eyes trembled violently,

Tears welled in his eyes. Completely abandoning any sense of composure, he rushed toward her in excitement. “I can’t believe it—you’re so young!”
