“They’re perfect together.”

“I’ll chip in 1 million and put it under Gary’s tab.”

“Then I’m giving a hundred million!”

“You kidding? The Spencers don’t have that kind of money.”

“Honestly, I’m just here for the drama. Didn’t Gary treat Alice like dirt before?”

“Looks like she taught him a lesson in humility.”

“Guys, look–it’s Venom!”

The crowd had been so caught up in the scandal that Venom was momentarily forgotten. But now, watching Alice play, a rush of emotion surged through him.

Venom felt like he was transported back to the days she used to coach him–tough, sharp, and unstoppable.

“Alice!” he called out, his voice cutting through the noise despite Daniel trying to stop him.

“Alice, I know you want to talk to me now! But I promise, I’ll come by your office tomorrow!”

Alice didn’t respond.

She had been trying to track down Ouroboros, but something about this kid told her he wasn’t the type to tell the whole truth.

Before Venom could say anything else, security from the Nolan Group pulled him away and tossed him into his car waiting outside.

Inside, the man in the driver’s seat switched off the livestream, spun around, and looked Venom dead in the eye.

“You found her. Now what?”

Venom slid into the seat, eyes gleaming with excitement.

“I didn’t go through all this just to walk away. I’m going to spoil her rotten.”

The driver snorted and mocked him.

“Looks like she’s got someone doing that already.”

Venom’s smile froze.

“Hey,” he shot back; “nobody asked for your opinion.”

The man just chuckled, starting the engine.

“So, you think she’ll see you?”

Venom leaned back and exhaled slowly.

“If she won’t, I’ll wait.”

The car grew quiet for a moment. Then the driver gave a low laugh.

“You’re serious about this.”

Venom nodded. “I have always been.”

This time, the driver said nothing more. He kept his eyes on the road.

Back at the venue, Venom was gone, leaving only Eric by Alice’s side.

Daniel stepped back a few paces, carefully positioning himself between Alice and Damon.

Damon might’ve been family, but as a professional assistant, it was Daniel’s job to make sure Mrs. Nolan stayed within Mr. Nolan’s orbit–and no one else’s.

Humbert, still buzzing with excitement, rushed onto the stage and snatched the microphone from the stunned host.

The host blinked.

Did I just get demoted to a mic stand?

Humbert spoke with deliberate calm.

“Byron and I have worked together. I know what kind of man he is. That footage everyone saw earlier- there’s something off about it.”

He held up a USB drive. “I just got the real surveillance footage from Mr. Eric’s assistant. Let’s take a look.”

The big screen lit up.

A new video began to play–this time from the official camera angle.

Byron and Alice were clearly shown standing at a distance. Byron wore a faw….ig smile, practically groveling.

At first, Alice looked like she wanted nothing to do with it. Only after Byron begged and rambled did she finally, reluctantly, accept the invitation.

The truth hit like a slap.
