“You might be made of an ice block,” Alice mused, boldly pushing her luck, tracing his cheek with her fingers, “but you don’t feel cold at all.

“A bit too serious, though. You should smile more.”

Eric clenched his jaw. Hard.

Alice sighed dramatically.

“When are you going to change back? I’m so close to you now. Would my heat of passion melt you?”

Still no answer.

“What, cat got your tongue? Were you

mute?”

Eric’s expression cracked.

“Hands off.”

His tone was sharp as steel.
