Ryan walked straight over to Alice. He knew he had to explain himself.

“Alice,” he said, “how’d I do on the task you gave me?”

The entire room froze. They couldn’t believe it.

Ryan is here to report to Alice?

Alice pointed casually at the score she gave–eight.

Ryan lit up. “Eight! That’s great! Levi, you didn’t embarrass me!”

Levi’s face flushed with embarrassment. He lowered his head slightly.

Then the room exploded.

“Wait, what? Ryan’s his mentor?”
