“Grandma, you gave her so many wedding gifts. How could someone like her remember every single thing? Missing one heart pendant isn’t a big deal.”

Right after she spoke, Daniel knocked and walked in..

He was holding a gift receipt.

“Mrs, Irene, Mrs. Nolan sent me with this.””

He explained, “She’s not really asking for money or anything. She just really likes that heart pendant and wants to give it to Mr. Eric as a sign of her love. So she’s hoping you’ll let her have it early.

Daniel’s voice was soft, but his face looked serious.

It was clear that refusing wasn’t really an option.

Alice’s request made sense.

Plus, Daniel was really lowering himself by delivering this message.

“Mrs. Nolan also said that if you give her the heart pendant, you don’t have to send the rest of the wedding gifts if you don’t want to.”

Irene nearly passed out from anger.

Sandy knew Daniel and Stanley were Eric’s most trusted helpers.

“Ms. Sandy, I’m just here to get the emerald heart pendant. No need to get worked up.”

Sandy was speechless.

Grinding her teeth, she snapped, “Get lost. You’re just a lowly bodyguard. What right do you have demanding things here?”

Irene’s heart skipped.

Knowing Sandy’s attitude, that meant the emerald heart pendant was probably gone for good.

Daniel didn’t get mad.

Seeing everyone’s frustration, he added, “Mrs. Nolan took photos of the heart pendant and posted them online. She wants Mr. Eric to wear it to work tomorrow onwards.”

“Daniel, you can leave for now. I’ll have someone deliver the heart pendant before work
