“Mr. Hawkin went to the design department next door. Judging by the sound of it, things aren’t looking good.”

“Such a shame. Mr. Nolan used to be a genius, and now he has to stoop so low just to ask for help.

“I heard Mr. Hawkin is the mentor of Mrs. Nolan’s brother. Do you think Mrs. Nolan might help?”

Alice ignored them, her fingers tapping steadily on the keyboard.

However, the chatter didn’t stop.

“I heard the design department submitted seven proposals. Mr. Hawkin’s seen them all. Guess what happened?”

“Those in the design department were supposed to be the elites of Nolan Group. But Mr. Hawkin rejected every single one of the proposals. He even said that the design department was a shadow of its former self, and that their well of inspiration had run dry.”

“Wow, that’s kind of insulting, isn’t it?”

While everyone was indignant about Halsey’s remark, an email was sent from Alice’s computer.

She glanced at the time on her watch and gave a quiet chuckle.

Her cool expression carried a hint of playful mockery.
