The news came fast and loud. A secretary rushed in, nearly tripping, only to be snapped at by Ruby. “What are you doing barging in here?”

The poor secretary looked like she might cry. “Ms. Randall … If the breach goes through, our data’s gone. Every confidential file–gone.”

Ruby turned to the others.

“Alice told us herself–this firewall’s top–grade.

“She said even Troy, who tried using the internal keys to steal data and sell it, couldn’t get past it.

“So I believe her.”

That meeting hadn’t even been about the breach–They’d been there trying to clean up the fashion department mess.

The smaller influencer had already been silenced using the Nolan Group’s resources.

But two major problems were still standing.

One–Levi. Hard to buy. Harder to shut up.

“Maybe she’s just sitting in there, waiting to see how we all react.”

One more voice joined in, slow and mocking. “Ms. Randall, you sure know how to pick a daughter–in–law.”

Ruby let out a quiet breath.

“Didn’t think we’d hit a snag like this. Let’s head to the tech team and ask them directly.”

The execs had always been wary of Alice dropping in from nowhere.

Back when Troy caused that mess, it had shut their mouths for a while.

Alice peeled open a wrapper and slipped the lollipop into her mouth.

“She really thinks her system can’t be cracked?”
