Chapter 447
Sana slammed on the brakes just in time to avoid crashing into the bowl of oatmeal in his hands.
“What are you doing? What if it spills and burns someone?” Sana yelled, staring at the hot oatmeal that was still steaming in Wesley’s hands.
Wesley calmly set the bowl down on the nearest counter and turned back to her. “Don’t worry. If it spills, it’ll be on me, not
you.”
“That’s not what I’m worried about!” Sana was already frustrated from her failed escape attempt, and Wesley playing
dumb only made it worse.
“If you’re not worried about that, then you must be worried about me,” Wesley said, suddenly grabbing her arm. “Since
you can’t seem to let me go, why are you running?”
“Who says I can’t let you go? Stop being so full of yourself,” Sana snapped, shaking her arm to try to break free, but she couldn’t get away.
Wesley completely ignored her struggling and pulled her toward the dining table.
Seeing where this was heading, Sana fought even harder. “Let me go! I need to get to work. I don’t have time for this
nonsense.”
Wesley pretended not to hear her, only turning around to threaten her when her struggling got so violent she nearly hurt his hand. “Calm down. If you try to run again, I’ll go to your parents‘ house and have a little chat with them.”
That shut Sana up instantly. Wesley looked satisfied as he guided her to a chair and placed the bowl of oatmeal from earlier in front of her. “Eat something. You must be hungry.”
Sana had no idea how to deal with him, so she just buried her face in the oatmeal bowl.
Wesley put another dish in front on her.
“I don’t need you to serve me,” Sana said, pulling her bowl away from him.
Wesley’s overly attentive behavior made her nervous. He already knew why she’d gone to the bar last night, and she couldn’t believe he wasn’t even a little angry about it.
‘What if he really isn’t mad?‘ Sana wondered. The thought made even her oatmeal taste bland.
“Fine, help yourself then. Just drinking oatmeal isn’t much of a meal anyway,” Wesley said, setting down his utensils without pushing the issue further.
“Okay,” Sana mumbled, picking up her/fork to grab some food.
They ate the rest of breakfast in awkward silence. Sana was so uncomfortable she could feel her toes curling in her shoes.
“Well, we’re done eating, so I really need to get to work now. About last night… let’s just pretend it never happened. Don’t worry about it,” Sana said, putting down her utensils and standing up first. She was trying to close the book on what had

happened.
Wesley’s face darkened when he heard this. He slammed his utensils down and looked straight at her. “What if I said no-”
“Shut up! Just do what I say,” Sana cut him off quickly.
Wesley couldn’t help but laugh at her reaction, though there was no humor in it. “Well, aren’t you bossy.”
Sana’s face turned red as she looked away, not daring to say another word.
