“I don’t think so. Jessica went back to Grant Manor today, and I’m heading back to the office now. I’ll check things out tomorrow and let you know if anything comes up.” Brian said.
Sana’s attitude had made him suspicious too, so right after leaving Grant Group, Brian had contacted the bodyguard who’d been watching Jessica. When he learned that Jessica had gone to Grant Manor and seemed fine, he felt relieved.
I’m probably overthinking this,’ Brian thought.
“Well, heading back to the office at this hour? You’re really living the busy executive life, Mr. Atkinson,” Wesley teased.
Brian let out a helpless laugh. “Can’t help it. We’ve got a new product launch coming up, and I can’t step away right now.”
Brian had pushed most of his work onto others so he could take care of Jessica, but this new product launch was something he’d been preparing for a long time.
He couldn’t afford any mistakes, so whenever he had free time, he made sure to personally oversee everything at the company.
“That makes sense.” Wesley nodded. They chatted briefly about Jessica’s recent mental state before hanging up.
After that, Brian returned to the office and worked through the entire night, fixing several bugs and issues. Three days later, he finally managed to get the new product launched perfectly.
Jessica scrolled through online reviews of Atkinson Group’s new emergency watch and thought Brian would probably be swamped with work today.
When Jessica got off work, she knew Brian would likely be too busy to pick her up, but she still found herself automatically glancing toward the parking lot. That was when she spotted a familiar Bentley slowly pulling up.
“Jessica,” Brian called out, clearly relieved when he saw her standing outside the car. He’d been worried he wouldn’t make it in
time.
For the past few days, Jessica’s parents had kept her at Grant Manor. Brian had visited twice with Jake, and while her parents treated them warmly enough, it still wasn’t as comfortable as being back at the apartment.
Yesterday, when they were leaving, Jessica mentioned she wouldn’t be going back to her parents’ house today, so Brian. immediately decided he’d come pick her up and bring her home.
But just as Brian was about to leave, he realized he’d forgotten something and had to go back for it. The delay meant he arrived after Grant Group’s usual closing time, and he’d been afraid Jessica had already left. ‘Thank goodness,’ he thought.
“How did you get here so early? Didn’t Atkinson Group just launch their new product?” Jessica’s eyes flickered with surprise when she saw Brian. He actually arrived on time,’ she thought.
“I worked overtime to get everything finished,” Brian said with obvious pride in his voice. As he spoke, he unbuckled his seatbelt and got out to open Jessica’s car door.
“You should get in first, Jessica. It’s cold down here in the garage,” Brian added.
“Okay,” Jessica didn’t refuse his offer/Once she was in the car, she immediately spotted the familiar packaging box Brian had placed on the driver’s seat. She’d seen the same design online just recently.

When Brian noticed her looking at it, he quickly pulled out the gift he’d prepared. An elegant silver-white women’s watch appeared
before her eyes.
“This is Atkinson Group’s latest emergency watch,” Brian explained, “It monitors your heart rate and vital signs in real time, and if it detects anything abnormal, it automatically calls 911 and sends an SOS signal to your emergency contacts.
“I thought it would be perfect for you. Will you accept it?”
