Tara entered the walk-in closet and noticed another door at the far end. Shawn had mentioned it was the walk-in closet at the back.

With her legs still weak, Tara stepped into the innermost walk-in closet and randomly opened a wardrobe, only to find it filled entirely with women's clothing.

Stunned, she stared at the racks of clothes. Reaching out to brush through them, she realized they were all brand new, with tags still attached.

She grabbed a top and a pair of pants before opening a drawer below. Inside were some bras. After taking a look, she was surprised to find they were all in her size.

Scenes from the previous night flashed in her mind again. Her face flushed as she grabbed one of the bras. Shortly after, she found a pack of disposable underwear.

She quickly slipped into the clothes—the top and pants fit just right. As she looked around the entire walk-in closet, she couldn't help but wonder whether all of this had been prepared just for her.

Ten minutes later, after washing her face and brushing her teeth, she opened the bathroom door. Her legs still felt weak and sore.

Shawn seemed to be waiting for her downstairs.

Tara made her way to the first floor. She wanted to run, but her bag was still in his car. Judging by the tightly shut front door, it was clear that she would not be able to leave without Shawn's permission.

Left with no choice, she sat down across from him.

Shawn never once looked up at her as he poured her a cup of coffee.

Tara sat rigidly and didn't dare to look at the man before her.

Slowly, he raised his eyes and peered at her through his glasses. "So, what happened yesterday?"

Tara raised her head in confusion and met his gaze—a metaphorical question mark floated above her head.

"What do you mean 'what happened'?"

Shawn seemed very patient, and his tone was as gentle as usual. "We slept together last night. What was the trigger and reason for it?"

Tara thought she was hearing things. She stared blankly at Shawn, wanting to speak but ultimately stopped herself. What did he mean by that?
