Summer faded into fall.

That morning, Tara was in the villa's living room unpacking local specialities mailed over by Mandy. No matter what she said, Mandy insisted on sending them.

She had just sent a return gift yesterday, warning that if they sent anything again, she would refuse to accept it. Only then did Mandy reluctantly agree to receive it while repeatedly saying she was being too generous.

Tara opened the package and placed the local specialties aside.

In the first week she had moved into the villa, both Mandy and Judy had called her to say the development project had been canceled and reassured her not to worry. Their cheerful tone over the phone had truly put her at ease.

Suddenly, Soren hugged her from behind and brought his phone to her ear so she could listen to a song.

Tara thought the new song was especially tender and emotional, completely unlike his usual personality. It felt jarring, to say the least.

"It's nice, and very heartfelt."

Soren kissed her cheek with a smile. "I wrote this song for you."

She turned her head, her beautiful eyes wide with surprise. He wrote it for her?

Seeing her shocked expression, Soren couldn't help but pinch her cheek. "You're a dummy. Even my fans could tell it was written for you."

He sighed again at how oblivious she could be. Most couples had the man being careless and the woman attentive, yet it was the other way around with them.

Tara gave an embarrassed smile. She hadn't even considered that possibility.

"I found something strange. There are two songs where I'm listed as the lyricist and composer, but I have no memory of writing or releasing them," Soren said.

He had come across the songs while browsing a streaming app. Both were credited to him, yet completely unfamiliar. He didn't even know they existed.

He sat down on the couch with Tara in his arms. She lowered her gaze, watching as he searched his phone. The next moment, one of the songs with a biting tone started to play from his phone.

She glanced at the release date. It had come out about two months after she transmigrated. Soren took on the perspective of an observer, using the song to mock the darker sides of human nature. No matter the social class, there was always conflict, like a modern court drama.

At first, Tara didn't think the song had anything to do with her. But the second song turned out to be an emotional release, filled with raw pain. The music and lyrics practically drowned the listeners in sorrow.

She checked its release date. It was posted the day before their memories had been wiped. Since Soren had no recollection of these two songs, it meant the inspiration behind them was tied to her.

Seeing how intently she was analyzing, Soren chuckled and teased, "You're studying it so seriously, so what's your take on it?"

Tara more or less understood what was going on, but she couldn't tell him. Thus, she just shook her head without saying a word.

There was no way Soren could ever figure this out, just like he couldn't explain the sudden appearance of the walk-in closet.
