Soren was sitting on the couch with one arm draped casually over the backrest. He was garing at Tara with that dangerously charming look of his. In his eyes was a glint of something that could only be described as desire.

Tara didn’t notice the danger hidden in his gaze. She had always been relatively relaxed around Soren. Maybe it was because he was never serious, but she hadn’t built up much of a guard with him.

Shawn seemed to overlook the staff rules. He paused, then walked into the bedroom and came back with a phone. He handed it to Tara in the living room.

“My mistake. This phone has my contact info, If anything happens, get in touch with me right away. The password is 123456.”

Tara hesitated, unsure if she should accept it. After all, his gesture came from kindness.

Shawn picked up on her unease. He didn’t seem intent on breaking any rules.

“If you’re worried misunderstandings might happen, just give it back before you rethm home,” he added.

She gently closed Shawn’s door and pushed the cart toward the elevator

Tara left the can beside the elevator. She’d have to come back later to collect the dishes from Soren and Shawn’s rooms.
