Betty nodded and beamed. "Thanks, Tara! I kept some durians and mangosteens for you. The durian I kept had the thickest flesh."

Tara mischievously gestured an "OK", to which Betty blushed.

"Betty? Why are you still here?" Hailey asked when she saw Betty standing before Tara's room. Assuming that Betty was slacking off by coming here to chat with Tara instead of taking the coffee and fruits to the men upstairs, Hailey made a mental note to rant to Terence about this.

In truth, Hailey had some beef with Betty. After it was discovered that Hailey had given Betty a hard time, Terence was less willing to assign Hailey any tasks that ensured a pay raise or bonus.

Putting all the blame on Betty, Hailey wouldn't stop finding Betty's fault and complaining to Terence about them to prove that Betty wasn't good enough as a housekeeper.

Tara saw the phone in Hailey's hand, its camera pointed directly at her and Betty. Tara had gotten used to the peace and quiet at the vacation villa, so she was rather speechless with Hailey.

Now that she was back at this villa, she felt as if she was being thrown back into a battlefield. Tara and Betty knew why Hailey had recorded a video of them both. They knew she wanted to report them to Terence.

Betty was mad at Hailey, for sure. Tara told her, "Just ignore her. Mr. Oakley's not someone who can't distinguish right from wrong."

Betty hated Hailey with every fibre of her being. Hailey loved making others' lives miserable!

After shutting the door behind her, Tara reached for the meal cart, but Betty wouldn't let her. Betty wanted to do the job herself this time, as the task was hers and not Tara's anyway.

Later, when Tara reached the villa's second floor, she calmly pushed the meal cart into the living room. Lance and Soren wouldn't dare to do anything out of line when others were around, so she had nothing to worry about.

Tara's heart skipped a beat, and she gripped the cart's handlebars for support. She immediately pushed the cart out of the living room and left.

The intensity of their stares fixed on her in the living room had left her bewildered. Now standing before the elevator, she glanced down at her clothing. It was just simple white shoes and a midi dress. Nothing about it seemed remarkable.

Tara decided that her clothes weren't special or eye-catching. It looked less appealing compared to her work uniform. Besides, the dress she currently wore was the most unflattering piece of clothing she had. She had plenty of shirts and pants that fit her way better than the dress.

She had no idea if she was overthinking it. As she pushed the cart out of the elevator on the first floor, she saw Betty and Hailey fighting over something.

Betty heard the sound the elevator made when its doors opened. Seeing that Tara had returned, Betty had newfound courage. She snapped, "I asked Tara for help, not you. Why don't you mind your own business?"
