I went into Eve's room and saw her sitting up against the headboard. Asher was sitting on the floor, Shawn was in the chair next to Eve, and Isaac was leaning against the wall. "Hey" Eve greeted me. "How's Jordyn?"
"She's resting" I informed her.
"The baby?" she asked.
I smiled. Eve just woke up from fainting, and she's worried about Jordyn and our baby. "She is beautiful. Has the same eyes as her mom"
"What's her name?" Shawn asked.
Eve smiled at me and answered. "Elise"
"How did you know?" I questioned.
"Jordyn told me when I was in a coma" she stated while beaming at me.
"Wait" Asher stood up. "You could hear us?" he inquired.
Eve shrugged. "Sometimes"
"Did you hear me?" Asher asked hopeful.
Eve shook her head and looked confused. "What happened before you passed out?" I changed the subject. I needed to know how to torture Asher for later on.
"I touched her" Asher answered.
"You did what?!" Isaac and I started stalking towards Asher.
Genevieve
"You did what?!" Ryan shouted. Him and my uncle slowly walked towards Asher.
Why on earth did he say it like that?! "Stop!" I shouted before they hurt him. "He didn't touch me. He just grabbed my face. And I felt the mate thingy" I tried explaining. Isaac and Ryan nodded in understanding.
"Mate thingy?" Shawn asked confused.
"Its a feeling you get when you touch your mate. Its like tiny prickling" Isaac explained.
Shawn tilted his head, looking like a lost puppy. "So how did you faint?" he inquired.
"I guess it was too much?" I answered.
"Can I talk to Eve?" Asher asked. Ryan growled at him, but Isaac pushed Ryan towards the door.
Isaac sent me a wink. "Of course. Let's go see Elise" Ryan and Isaac walked out the door. Since when is Isaac on his side?!
Asher shook his head. "We had sex, but its not like I did it to intentionally hurt you. I didn't know this would happen"
"Well it did happen. And it hurt like hell" I said bitterly.
Asher walked forward until he was next to my bed. "I know" he said quietly.
"Are you sure?" I asked while looking up at him. "Cause you seem to be forgetting the part where I was in a coma! I almost died because of this!" I shouted.
"I know!" Asher shouted angrily. I moved my gaze down and started playing with my blanket. "I could never forget about what happened. I was here the whole time. I watched you while you in pain. It hurt me too. I couldn't help you. All I could do was watch. I hate myself because of it" I didn't know what to say, so I stayed quiet.
"I just want to make it right. Let me fix this" he begged. I felt the tingles as he lifted my chin up to look at him. "Let me fix us"
I frowned and moved his hand off my face. "I can't go through the pain again. I really won't survive"
Asher shook his head. "You don't have to go through that ever again. I promise. Just give me a chance" he whispered.
Shawn's words rang in my head. 'Give him a chance' Somehow, Asher has my best friend on his side. And I know for a fact that Shawn wouldn't approve of him, unless he had a good reason. But Ass-er is- well, he's an ass.
'Ingrid? Any advice?' I asked my wolf.
'He's our mate. We should be with him. That's how its supposed to be' She stated. 'But if he hurts us, I'm ripping that redhead limb by limb' She responded. Well, she's violent. But I'm not against her on that.
